What are the differences between these two Hitachi nailers? Isn’t the NR90 more powerful? Are these nailers still made in Japan?

This is not imperical, but according to their literature, the 90 is more powerful and I have read reviews of various guns and the driving power is supior for manufactered engineered building members. I have no idea about the feel of the gun all day long as I have never had hands on or talked with someone that is using it day in and out. It will also take a bit longer nail and slightly larger gauge. Hope others that help more talk...I'll be interested to learn more from first-handers.
I did a forum search and the impression I got is the NR90 packs a wallop and is for driving 3.5" 16D nails, which few framers do nowadays. It tends to jam the smaller nails like 8D. For the smaller nails the NR83 is the choice. It has to do with the magazines and nail spacing, and there is no way to build an all-purpose gun.
Of course the NR90 is heavier. There was also a problem with inadverted firing of the NR90 which was supposed to be fixed by the NR90AC3 model.
Pneumatic nailers are a bit of an oddity, in that everything nowadays, including $3300 road bike frames, are being made in the Far East. You just don't see tools nowadays still made in Japan like the Makitas and Hitachis. Reason I'm thinking of getting an NR90/NR83 now is before they start making them in Taiwan. Should still be a good tool, though.
