Got my 2 coupons last month.
Looked over the net, and with shipping involved, even foring over the 9.2% sales tax here on the total (not covered by the coupon), Walmart is the place to go (unless anyone avoids them out of spite or whatever)
I saw the zenith one at K-Mart. I wanted that one originally, but settled for the Digital Stream from radio Shack. I don't have any arguments about that one. It has very good reception and a good remote.
You know, this brings up a thought re: my reliance on cable TV with no thought to the day the cable goes down, whether it be a weather event, such as the flood we had here in 1994, or just an extended outage for one reason or another. When we had the flood, affecting a several-county area, we lost cable but not power for three or four days. I dug around and found the old rabbit ears that came with the set - had to really look for them.
Then, I was able to get two stations pretty clear, plus the local PBS station, kinda fuzzy. But I had NEWS, and this was very important at that time. I mean, we had National Guard helicopters in the air over my house - I had to know what was going on in the community.
So, maybe ALL of us need to get the converter boxes - rabbit ears or a rooftop antenna won't do any good without it, am I right ?

if you have a analog tv,antennas won't do you any good with out the box. but if you have a newer hd with a anntenna no problem,no box larryif a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?
I got the GE box from Target. It claims to support a 'smart antennae' if you need one. We are in the city so were fine with the rabbit ears.
The GE works, but both the remote and on-screen guide suck. Unintuitive and clumsy.
I also bought the one Radio Shack sells...it's some no-name brand you never heard of. That said, it's really nice. The remote is great and the on-screen guide is very legible. I'd recommend that one.
Step into the 21st century and buy a digital TV with an ATSC tuner already built in. Costco has them starting at $150. Too bad you cannot put these silly welfare vouchers toward the purchase of an ATSC-equipped TV.
