Possibly. It’s much better to use the dimmer by the puck manufacturer if they offer one, though.
The other rule-of-thumb is that line voltage pucks can use a line voltage dimmer (mostly); the LV pucks on a transformer cannot (the line dimmer is reducing the voltage to the xfr, which does funky things to its output voltage).
