Does anyone know a source for discontinued ceramic floor tile? Maybe somebody who buys up odd lots? I need about 170 sf of a Florim U.S.A. tile, discontinued about 4 years ago, to match an addition to an existing library’s floor.
Thanks.

Thanks much.
I know of a really good custom tile shop, but I have no idea if they'd be of use to you, as you have not filled out your profile to include location.

A custom tile shop referral would be appreciated. I'm in mid-Michigan area.
Thanks.
Ah. These guys are in Oakland, CA. Probably a little too far.
(For anyone with a difficult tile issue in the Bay Area, though, I'll give a shout out for Art Tile on Broadway in Oakland). Owner's name is Art.
best of luck.

p.s. It really helps if you fill out at least the location part of your profile. Most responders here do look at location, it can affect technical issues as well. You don't have to be any more specific than you want.

Thanks much for the tip. If I don't find a source for the original, copies from CA could be an option. Will expand the profile as you suggest.
Go the forums on BobVilia.comAnd search the messages. This gets asked all the time and most of the messages are unanswered. However, from time to time there are links to companies that specialize in discontinued tile. Also ask at John Bridges forums..

Don't know where you are, but Hudson's in Hattiesburg, MS carries a lot of odd lots of tiles. You might check the phone book for "discount tile" or "Tile outlet", they often carry mfr. over runs.
There are several Salvage stores in this area that sell 'til the palet is gone. Southeast Salvage, Knox Rail Salvage, Halls Salvage, etc...... I'm in Tennessee. I would look under "Salvage" in the phone book and call around. One of them was selling 12x12 porceline for .79 each. Not the prettiest tile I'd ever seen, but I could have worked with it. I never did make it down there because I'm so far away from the bathroom work.

Search on ebay just in case (unlikely tho').
Find a dealer who can computer-search national inventory sources to see if there's any out there
