Is there some type of backflow preventer I can put on my dishwasher drainhose to prevent the waste water from the sink spilling into the dishwasher?
My dishwasher drain hose drains into the garbage disposal and everytime I send a sinkfull of weater through the disposal and down the drain some of it flows through the dishwasher drain hose into the dishwasher.

There is a device for that called an Air Gap. It sets on top of the counter top with mounted through a hole.
But first check the DW drain hose. It should loop up as high as it can go under the cabinet (behind or beside the sink) before it connects to the disposal.
In most cases that will solve the problem.
