Couldnt find that new Ditra product for tile work here at home so on my way home from my Canadian ski vacation I stopped at a HD that was on the side of the road.
I found the product and purchased 20 LF.(was all they had left). Came to about $1.60 U.S. It comes in about 39″ widths. Lots more expensive than CBU’s but a hell of a lot lighter.
The thought of carrying several sheets of CBU’s up two flights of stairs alone is wortht he extra cost not to mention……no expensive CBU screws and cutting hassles.
I’m going to try it on my own bathroom redo and see how it goes.
Seems too good to be true…..
Anyone use it before?
Be well

Everybody I know here uses it. They claim the expense is offset by the ease of installation. Makes sense to me. No hauling up the heavy sheets, no cutoffs to deal with, no screwing it down, the Ditra cuts with a utility knife, etc. I probably have enough left in the last roll I bought to do a couple of small bathrooms.
Ive used it and like it if the floor is suitable to put it over. The best trick I have done is used it over asbestos tile .
