Just spent a solid 8 hours this week building a custom bathroom vanity for a customer, raised panel doors, six drawers.
Finished the mill work and got as far as the first coat of paint on Friday.
Today I went back to my shop (my garage at the duplex). I had to make a stop at a small job this morning and by the time I got to the shop it had rained hard.
I open the door and come in to see my two raised panel doors now holding about a pint of water each. The doors are shot. I used wood for the rails and MDF for the panel. What a bummer. The rest is okay but now I have to mill the doors again on Monday.
Oh well, at least I have a few days left before install and two missing doors wont be a deal breaker.
The vanity turned out pretty good.
Thanks to whoever it was that offered the advise about finishing. So far I have two coats of spray paint on and have sanded (400 grit) in between coats. Looks really good.

might be time to think about a roof? at least a blue tarp.larry
if a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?
Yep. This is the first project i've ever built in there. the place is mainly for storage. I dont even have electricity out there yet. I just ran a 20A extension cord from the house.
I suspected the roof leaked a bit and of all the places I could have placed the most fragile piece of the vanity was directly below the leak.
Wish we could've covered the work on Friday but the paint was still wet when we left.
Hey, on that note- does anyone have a specific recommendation for a collapsible canopy type cover, both for rain and sun? I bought one and the accordian style bracing broke almost immediately. Army surplus maybe, or camping supply? just throwing it out there...
maybe I'll start a thread- sorry to intrude/hijack...

There's a company called "Tech Supply" that supplies stuff for commercial greenhouses that I seem to remember having what you are asking for. Maybe Tractor Supply or other ag supply places may have them too.
I've got a 10x10 I bought at Costco a few years back. I dont use it often but when I do I dont have any problem with it.
Yeah, I had one from a big box, but it didn't last too long...
your's is ok, though? Maybe I had the el cheapo...
