Simple electrical question. I’ve got a circa 1960 door chime (wired) running off 24 volts. The chimes work fine but some of the pushbuttons are broken. I can’t find any buttons at the HD that are rated for 24 volts. Most say 16 v max.
Can anyone suggest a source for 24 v rated doorbell buttons?
Does the voltage rating really matter? I would have thought its a total power (V x I) issue.

I do wish the doorbell folks would settle on a standard. Voltages range from 6V to 24, though 16-18 is probably the norm.
An unlighted 16V button should work fine. A lighted button would be apt to burn out at 24V.
You might also see if the doorbell will run off 16v. If so, you
can use lighted buttons, which are nice...
I'm hoping not to have to change the transformer. Its in the main elec. box and I imagine that its only connected to the doorbell, but the house is wired so squirrely that I'm not sure if anything else is connected to it.
I just put in a wireless doorbell. A nice feature is that it has a different ring for each door button.
replace the bulb with a 24V model...

You mean the bulb in the button?
I don't really care about a lighted button. Plain is fine.
So is the concensus that the voltage rating on a plain pushbutton is ignorable?
so do plain...

Well, within reason. I wouldn't recommend using the button to switch a 480V line.
