Dot laser level: recommendations?
Uh, gotta run! Can’t type too much. . . I need/want/gotta have a dot laser level. Don’t want to spend too much. Just for interior layout stuff, so great accuracy over long distances is not necessary.

Source control, ventilation, and filtration are the keys to healthy indoor air quality. Dehumidification is important too.

One dot, 2 dots, 5 dots?
.
A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.

I have this one : http://cgi.ebay.com/David-White-Mark-4PL-5-Beam-Laser-Level-NIB_W0QQitemZ320215182328QQihZ011QQcategoryZ63941QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Used it today inside.. but use it out too.
Cheap on ebay and a good unit. Can be 'field calib.' if it gets out of whack. I've done it--it's easy.
Dbl A's...
etc..

The dot is a pain, get a line type instead. If looking cheap but works well look out for the black & decker unit at HD. There is also a Ryobi that will hold itself on the wall.
The only one I've used is PLS. Worked perfectly. PLS 5x for dots, in or outdoors. Can't go wrong.
PLS5x is a great tool, good customer service as well.

Robo Vector 5 dots. Good visibility and self-levelling. Fits in a tool pouch. Indispensible.

I agree - forget the dot types - pain. The PLS 2 or newer 180 seem to be the goto pockt lasers to get.But it looks like Dewalt has introduced a couple new units - a horiz line for about $123 and a vert/horiz 2 line unit for $199.I've had a Dewalt Plumb laser for a few years and it's bulletproof and has a great HD case.Commit to spending the $200 or so - you'll be glad you did for as long as you use it.Other wise - spend $70 or so and get a used David white unit on Ebay. They were discontinued as part of a rebranding of them as Stanley /CSTs and can be had cheaply.JT
