Faced with the same question, I made my own trim from 1x4 fir flooring. Quite a bit of machining work but the quantity of flooring available was rather large and, with a bit of work in selecting good pieces, the quality of the finished trim was pretty good.
I think most lumber suppliers will carry 1x4 fir flooring. I found most of it is either rift or quarter sawn. YMMV.
I would try L. Sweet lumber in Providence, RI. If not, then possibly Liberty Cedar in Kingston, RI.
LC would have 1x4 CVG decking, but it has an eased edge, dunno if that's ok for your application. They can get about anything though, as can L. Sweet.

Anderson & McQuaid in Cambridge has x4 and x6 but no x5 dressed stock. Their wood quality is great, and I think their fir pricing is pretty reasonble.
