The best hammer I ever had , to bad it was only for a couple of months. I wasn’t prying too hard, really.
I emailed Douglas Tools on thursday but no reply yet. Has anyone else out there had this happen ? Did the company respond to you ?
I’m still using it because my old Vaughn just feels funny now. Unfortunatly I bought it at ‘House of Tools’ and when I suggested an exchange they actually laughed and said “oh they might have a website somewhere”
Oh ya I had the Hart version of this hammer but it rang really bad so I returned it.
Cheers all -have a better day- Rik

The owners name is Todd Coonrad (I think Pro-Deck has his autograph on one of his hammers) and their marketing guy's name is Reed Duffus. That's right, you actually have the opportunity to call up the company and say, "hey, I want to talk to the Duffus who is selling these things!"
I can't find any info on warranties but I just bought one of their 20 Oz. framers myself so I'm hoping you have a good customer service experience. Surely anyone selling a $60 wooden handled, non-titanium hammer would be willing to replace a relatively new busted one... wouldn't they?

Thanks Kevin
The company phoned me on wed. and said to take it back to the store I bought it at and if they don't replace it to give them the phone # for douglas tools, when I told 'House of Tools' that I talked to a company rep they wised up right away and offered me any model they had, so i grabbed the 180z finish which I wanted anyways and proceeded to order the 18oz framer from Douglas Tools directly.(I think it was Todd who I talked to)
Although the first one broke in a couple of months it's still the nicest hammer I've ever swung, and I use em pretty hard, and they just look so damn cool.
Cheers Rik
Did you tell them you were standing on the handle jumping up and down trying to pull out an epoxied concrete anchor?
And that you dress out at 285#?

Do not try this at home!

They do look cool. I would have to fess up to the fact that sheer beauty over substance was what won me over. Still, it is definitely a whole lot better nail smacker than anything I've ever had in my hand.
I love that hammer!! It just says, "DON'T MESS WITH ME, I AM A PROFESSIONAL FRAMER." Since I'm not a professional framer any more I need all the help I can get.Kevin Halliburton

Glad to hear Douglas stands behind their hammers. I think they are the best designed hammer out there. I just bought the 23oz for my sons, and they love them.
