trying to locate issue that has information on one-way trap – probably read about in tools & materials – putting drain under water/dryer in bedroom and this trap looked like it would elilminate need to keep water in it to prevent sewer gas back up – read about it sometime within the last year – found item on the internet and forgot to bookmark – ready to buy and can’t remember manufacturer???????? Can anyone help?

I asked the inspector about that one day last summer. He said no dice, every fixture needs a trap and a vent.
Check with your inspector to see what the local ruling is.

This does not elimate the vent.And it is a trap. Just a waterless trap.
I'll print the info from the link you posted and show it to the inspector, see what he says.
