I’ve a brand new Dewalt 14.4 impact driver. How well will it work for drilling 3/8″ holes in concrete? No rebar is in the way.

Source control, ventilation, and filtration are the keys to healthy indoor air quality. Dehumidification is important too.

I'm guessing, Not very. The impact action is tangental to the shaft on an impact driver, whereas a hammerdrill (or rotary hammer?) the action is in line with the shaft, making it more effective on concrete (like comparing a wrench versus a hammer?) That's my guess, anyway. But hey, give it shot and let us know how it works. You might discover a whole new use for the little buggers.
It'll work great for driving screws but I doubt it'll drill concrete worth a dang. You should probably have bought the version that holds the drive tips directly rather than the version with a chuck... just my opinion. Anyway, once you drive a few screws with it you'll never use anything else.
