I have some driveway that has really crappy paint on it, and time has not stripped it all by itself. Anyone ever used dry ice blasting for paint on concrete? Napalm? Big drum of lye? Cat pee?

Source control, ventilation, and filtration are the keys to healthy indoor air quality. Dehumidification is important too.

Seems like regular old sandblasting would be fine on a driveway. Or maybe just grind away the paint, if paint removers don't work.
Why isn't a pressure washer good enough
If you get a really high powered pressure washer you can use water to remove paint. The highest pressure systems will likely even remove a layer of asphault.
cleaning concrete from wheelbarrow
I am sceptical about the idea of cleaning a driveway with a dry ice bomb. A good sandblasing or pressure washing should do.
However- i do have a frind who cleaned a crudy old wheelbarrow caked with concrete sing a dry ice bomb. He just flipped the barrow over on it in a sand pit. If you do run with ideas like this- be exceedingly careful. Dry ice bombs are dangerose as any bomb. You dont know when they will explode. I think they can be way more owerfl than people assume.
dry ice bomb?
Now I've heard everything......................
And a "be carefull" disclaimer?
Technically that is dry ice blasting, but not what I was thinking of. We dry ice blast epoxy off precision parts at work. No explosions yet.
On the other hand, his method sounds intriguing.
Ummmm...
When they talk about "Dry Ice Blasting", they are talking about Sand blasting, except the sand used is actually crystals of carbon dioxide instead of silica, walnut shells, etc.
They do not put hot water and dry ice in a 2L bottle, cap and run!
It pops just like a balloon... if the ballopon were made of high strength polycarbonate plastic! They go BOOM!
I knew a guy in college who blew up a microwave and some overhead lights in his dorm with those.
I ought to try making a few today. Of course with my luck I would put an eye out.
