I thought maybe I should post in the Energy section, but I would likely get a quicker response from you guys from the General…
I have an attached, insulated, unheated (at present)garage. My mudroom/backportch runs along the length of the back of the garage. My dryer and washing machine are located in this portion of the house. My dryer vents out the back of the house (thru the crawlspace and out thru the header joist). My question… can I set up a separate vent to the garage in the winter time to partially heat my garage. I would come up with some way of filtering out the lint; use an insulated duct and damper and seal otherwise from the cold air.
Anybody see a problem with this?
