question: Regrettably, we used Fixall as a floor leveling compound. In some
areas it is as much as 3/4 – 1″ thick and is taking forever to dry. Adding to
this misery, because it is the winter months, we are now faced with yet another
problem: mold and mildew have appeared in the areas with the thickest layer of
Fixall. After three separate applications of a water/chlorine bleach solution,
the mold and mildew are in check (for now), but the Fixall has not dried
completely. Any suggestions other than removing the layer of Fixall altogether?
