I am in the process of having a brick house built in the New York metro area. The brick which was promised for October has of course not shown up. The house is wrapped, and all soffits and fascia are installed, but of course no brick. There is also no heat in the house as the gas company will not hook up without the exterior installed. My contractor is telling me it is okay to install the insulation and drywall without the brick being on.
I am wondering if this is a good idea, or if the insulation will retain too much moisture. In addition, I am concerned that the joint compound may not dry properly since there will be large temperature fluctuations.
Any thoughts???
