I finished the drywall in an addition to our home in March. I thought it turned out very well, as did those who looked at it. Recenty however, there are seams and screws that are appearing. Does this happen often?
I’m sure it is a result of something I did, but I don’t know what. They aren’t really bad, but I know they are there. Anyone have an idea whythey are showing up?

It's probably nothing you did. Homes settle. Especially in the first year, an ovservation that is usually lost on those who dont build or havent lived in a brand spankin new joint. As all that stuff not only dries out and stabilises, there's a little bit of finding out where all the different stresses are going to equalise and settle for good.
I found a very interesting tidbit in Bruce Hoadleys book where he talked about "typical" new home construction as an example to show wood shrinkage. He said something like your average two story home can shrink 1 1/2" in overall height in that first year when things are reaching an equalised moisture content. So your addition is doing just what it should. I'd give it a full year to do its thing then worry about patching and repainting.
