Been hanging a lot of drywall lately…sooo, buying a lot of drywall lately ( go figure!)
Anyway, best price I can find for 1/2 inch (4X8) is $6.77 plus tax. High price in my area is $7.36 plus tax. I live approx 30 miles west of Pittsburgh, PA….real close to Steubenville, Ohio. So what are you guys paying? Lets compare.
Thanks.

1/2" 4x8 Sheetrock brand $5.18 plus tax at Home Depot in Minneapolis today
Generally a buck to two more per sheet when I order delivered from local supplier - don't do a lot of big rock jobs though so don't get much in the way of discounts

4x8x1/2 at the Mighity Orange $6.44 + 7.4% tax. Metro Denver.
7.15 in SE Conn. Been watching it climb for a while. Don't tell me the Chinese are replacing bamboo with gyp-rock.
I bought four sheets 5/8" Type X at Home Depot two days ago. They wanted 7.83 a sheet + tax. I said it was 7.70 at Lowe's and they matched and beat it by ten percent so I paid 6.93 a sheet. Pretty good huh?

You went through that trouble to save $3.60?? Not a chance.
Pfffttt... All I did was say at the checkout "Oh by the way this is 7.70 at Lowe's." The girl punched some buttons and boom, I saved 3.60. Took less than 10 seconds. Is your time worth more than 3.60 per ten seconds? mm hmm.

Just under 10 bucks canadian here. If I need enough that won't fit in my truck they will deliver it into the house for free and bill me the 15th of next month. (here is about 300 miles north of Toronto) (you Ontario residents might have to unfold the map a little more than usual!)
Not tryin to steal a thread but- Where in the Big White are you? I'm trying to get approval to go to Temagami for some bass fishin' in a coupla weeks....First we get good- then we get fast !
Hi Tickyboy. I've been to Temagami, but didn't fish. I hear the fishing is great there. We are in a little town called Onaping about 30 miles north of Sudbury. Our claim to fame is the best nickel in the world is mined here and in adjacent Levack.
