The drywallers at my brothers house used 1 1/4 screws. I always thought they should use 1 5/8.
What do you guys think ?

1-1/4" for either into metal stud
Its all about speed Roy. 1 1/4 will hold just fine, but it takes a heck of alot longer to drive an 1 5/8" screw. The drywallers know what they are doing, I'd leave them alone unless you want a drywall hatchet upside your head.

I'll be hanging my own, just wanted to hear what you all thought. I don't have to worry about a hatchet upside my head as it's my two brothers helping and they know I'd stop buying the beer if they hassle me :)
