A friend of mine is a professional bass musician. He recently moved into a new loft and wanted my help locating studs to install hangars for his collection of 15 expensive guitars.
I was pretty busy, and when I finally got over there I was surprised to see that it was all done. He and his girlfriend had arrtfully arranged the entire guitar collection at different heights around the livingroom.
“Looks good,” I said, “how did you find all the studs?”
“Didn’t have to,” he said proudly, “I used drywall screws.”
We backed out of there very slowly.

Good one. Maybe they got lucky and used drywall lamination screws, they should hold about a week longer.

a bass is not a guitar...a bass is a bass... a guitar is a guitar....that's all.
"Guitar" technically is a generic term for any of the various stringed instruments of that type. "Bass guitar" is a type of guitar and a proper term. Commonly, people refer to a "bass guitar" as simply a "bass". And accoustic or electric guitars as "guitar".

Your statement makes no sense. What was your intent?
And you are assuming that being a "professional bass musician", he only hung bass instruments? Many bass guitar players also own/play accoustic guitars.
Now, a bass fish.... that's a different thing.
Maybe he plays one of these.http://trcfm.stores.yahoo.net/bilbassinfis3.html

A bass, my dear friends, is a fish.
Good eating, good fighting fish.

..just sounds to me like attitude and arrogance..no other reason. Don't know why but there always seems to be one like that around. Just gotta' show his "stuff"....a bad day at the beach is better than a good day anywhere else... :)
Whadda ya think the odds are that he hit a stud with every screw?
I wonder if he drill a hole through the guitar for the screw
