dust and wind resistant safety glasses
Just started to wear a contact lens on injured eye,(some imrovement, hard to really notice though).
Problem is ,with the lens in, any bit of dust on eye is an extreme irritant, to the point of having to remove lens to get relief.
Just wondering if any of you have found a solution to this problem.
Eye doctor sells Wiley X brand glasses. Some are ballistics rated and come with a removable foam shield that seals up the eye area. Anybody have experience with these?
Thanks
Jim

Well, there are always the "mad scientist" lab goggles, but they're kinda warm, if you're the type that tends to sweat (like myself).
I have some safety glasses I ordered on the Internet some years back. They have folding wire screen side shields that allow in a lot of air. From SafetyGlassesUSA.com. Quite cheap (though they're "Clark Kent" style and won't win any glamor awards).
It may be the contact lens itself, just so ya know!
I wore contact lenses for years, but after 15 years they just irratated the heck out of me. I was using drops after having them in only 5 minutes. I finally found the Night and Day contacts made by CIBA : http://www.airoptix.com/
They breath and feel like a part of my eye. I have more problems with dust and debries WITHOUT my contacts, than I do with them in. No kidding. I feel everything hitting my eye when I'm wearing glasses and googles. I feel very little, and it blinks away easy.
Otherwise I would reccomend the North 7600 series full face mask. It seals all around, great field of view, doesn't fog at all, and very - VERY comfortable. I'd rather wear that than a dust mask, to be honest.
