Checking pricing now, but not ready to buy quite yet. Thinking of unfinished (finish in place) red or white oak, quarter/rift sawn, 2-1/4″. Has anyone direct experience with Lumber Liquidators?

Just bought about 1200 sq. ft. from Fastfloors; 2 pallets....service was fast, smooth and shipping was to the door of the project, out in the boondocks...$68. Flooring, prefinished 5/8" X 3 1/2" plank solid bamboo (by that I mean no plywood backing) was less than $4 per sq. ft. Whole situation made HO and me pretty happy!
Don't know about Lumber Liquidators.
Unless it is odd stuff I like to see it before buying, if it does not live up to what you expected and you are buying it e-commerce it is a little hard to get it returned. Aside from that if you are buying unfinished and not in the middle of nowhere chances are you can find it in a 50 mile radius for about the same price and not have shipping.
If you are talking prefinished that is another matter they may be less and if it is a name brand like Bruce you pretty much know what to expect.
Only shipped wood once odd unfinished size 3/8" white oak 1 1/2 wide called about 30 suppliers and only one place had it Pannel Town they were good to me I got what I expected. I started calling the West coast and found it in the Midwest.
Never used lumber Liquidators. Are you any wher near a store of theirs? They have about 30 or so.
We just recently went into a lumber liquidators store and their floors looked very nice and the prices were awesome. I think that is most likely where we will buy our floor. I'm anxious to hear if anyone has actually used them before. Anyone?
Paula, I bought about 200 sq ft of 3 1/4" white oak from the Chicaro store a couple years ago. The quality was fine. Price was good also. What store were you at?

Thanks for the reply. I went to the Denver Store. They had a good selection. I think we will probably buy something from there.
They even had a 3/4" pre-finished purple heartwood floor. Wow, was it cool. We were thinking seriously about it, and then I realized that it would show every mark and spec of dust that even dared look at the floor. Since I don't think we'll be hiring a full-time housekeeper, we'll have to pass. Lots of other choices, however.
I have dealt with Lumber Liquidators several times. Not long ago I bought about 1,000 sq. ft. of quarter-sawn white oak, 3/4" x 2 1/4"
About $3.10 unfinished. Very happy, nice long lengths, nicely milled.
