Gentlemen- long-time reader new to this forum and I’m asking for help.
There was one or maybe 2 articles about 3 yrs ago written I believe by a mid-west builder who sat down with subs to “value engineer/design ” his houses to bring price/sq ft costs down. The article covered everything from framing techniques to just good planning.
Not sure if it was the same article but another desribed building with in standard sizes to minimize the waste produced and even had pictures of a standard build waste container and one utilizing these methods .
Thank you for any help

Mike ... you want to ask a question, or are you just practicing your typing?
:)
The author was Fernando Ruiz Pages, I think. Maybe it's FPR. He shows up in FHB occassionally.

Oh puhleeese! When's the last time you met a gentle contractor? He's even stretching it by referring to us as 'gentlemen'.
:)
Seriously ... I have a problem with the PC stuff. Ladies and Gentlemen is fine.

Ladies and gentlemen- my apologies for the greeting oversight, and thank you for the response- I found the article as a result- have a good evening.Mike
He (same author) has also written an entire book on the topic. I've forgotten the title but you should be able to find it easily enough through an author search at your local library or on amazon search.

Did you not notice my irony? I don't know how to use punctuation to indicate tongue in cheek!

I caught the inflection in your voice the first time. I just wanted to harass you a little.

Well, it wouldn't be any fun if I didn't respond, right? Consider yourself noticed!
