We have a cinder-block house and are insulating it on the outside and then covering that insulation with Eifs.We are using polyisocyanurate,and/or extruded polystyrene for insulation.
Can the insulation be adhered to the block using a portland based adhesive?,or must it be mechanically attached using screws?Or should both systems be used?
And a final question.As the 6 inch thick insulation is attached to our wall do we need to provide any support at the ground level; such as angled steel attached to the wall,or excavation to the footer?
Thanks for the response;
