elec. chases for inso pink polystyrene?
on the last basement i finshed with the 1-1/2″ 2×8 foamboard panels i never did figure out a good way to get the wiring in. the electrician just hacked it in and i “great stuffed” the ugly gashes after he was through.
there must be a better way.

I recall seeing in some magazine many years ago a sort of foam insulation designed for basements. It was about 2" thick, had notches in the front on each edge and down the center so that 1x3 could be shot in to fasten the foam to the wall and provide a nailer. The back side had some scheme of grooves (don't recall precisely how) to allow wires to be snaked through.
The other option would be to have the electrician come in first and install conduit, then notch your foam over the conduit. Or install metal conduit on top of the foam and space things out with nailers.
