I was looking at a electric cord reel in the Northern tool catalog. It has 75ft of 12/3 cord with spring re-wind.
Anyone have experience with this brand? It seems to be a in-house brand with Northern.

I bought one to put in our cargo trailer a couple years ago. It was a commercial grade model and it eventually broke. I paid $200 for it. My guys were just to hard on it tugging the cord out to fast and letting it reel in to fast. Throw it out kept the cord.
Most of the reels I've seen come with a small print warning that if you are using the cord with the most of the cord still on the reel the amp carrying capacity is greatly reduced, even dangerous.
Or if you want to run a 12 amp tool with only 10 feet of cord rolled out the cord will overheat.
So if you wanted to use a high amp tool they want you to play out all the cord even if you're working close to the reel.
