Hi! We’re currently rewiring the 2nd floor of a home, replacing knob/tube and installing octagonal boxes in lathe/plaster ceilings. What are your best methods for properly air sealing these penetrations and boxes? I imagine that all of the holes/knock-outs/etc. would probably make foam from above tedious and less than perfect. Attic is insulated with 8″ of blow in cels. Should I use foam plus alum foil or kraft paper or…? Suggestions, tricks, hints?????
