Im looking at instaling Kahrs WoodLoc engineerd flooring in the dinning room and hallway. Will this have the Clicking sound that laminate floor has? I will use a foam pad under it.

I installed a Kahrs click loc a little over a yr ago over wood framing and an inlaid radiant hot water system. We used a foam recommended and supplied by Kahrs in this application. I was surprised how little it sounded and felt like your common laminate floor. While not as solid as a nail or glue down, it was much more firm and non hollow sounding when walked on than laminate.
However, due to the cost of this product I would urge you to hopefully be able to step on it yourself.
To the product itself: It was gauged well, fit together nicely-no gapping or problems with pcs being a hair off. If you follow the directions, you will enjoy installing the product. You will need the heavy tapping block-using a sacrificial pc doesn't work for shit. Once you get going, you'll get the hang of the placement / lift / drop / tap.........etc.
If does go faster if you have a helper (pity the guy on his knees if it goes like that-my helper liked to stay down).
Backfilling and sliding made up pcs under door jambs etc worked well and stayed glued up (you peel one of the nubs off to be able to slide it flat.
Looks nice, fit well, and ain't cheap.
Their trims suffer the bad news of most of these type of products. While made well, they are always too short. I think they ship less than 8', but if your openings to transitions are shorter than that-no problem.
I also machined a couple to make a transition that was higher or lower than what they are made up for-no problem.
Most lam floor clicks because of cheapoing out and not using the foam padding
I was with you up to the because part
