I have done more tile base showers than I can count with 60 mll pvc shower liners, with good results.
The next one to be done is 8′ x8′, which is wider than my supplier carries in pvc.
Not liking the idea of seaming the liner in the feild, I thought about using the left over roll of EPDM I have out in the shed. It is 12′ wide, It is the same thickness as pvc, it is easier to fold, glue, mould, than the pvc liner.
Has anyone used Epdm for a shower pan? Any reasons I should not?

I have fix more shower bases that you have install.
I have seen anything that you can imagine.
As long as you don't cut the corners low and you have a good seal at the drain you have no problem.
8 x 8. Do you have a system in place for the bed? That can be a pain.

Jayzog,
EPDM is commonly used for site-built shower pan liners up our way in conjunction with a two stage shower drain (one that clamps the epdm). This is likely the type of drain that you use with your vinyl liners. The inspectors here prefer to see epdm. I have used it myself and found it easy to work with. If you get the corner folds mitred and glued neatly your tile substrate will trowel in with less fuss. Have fun.
