Hello: I have a question about the water resistance of Eucatex hardboard. I am the president of my son’s PTA and we are considering an “art on the fence” project that uses this material. It was presented to us as being “ideal for use in outdoor signs”. However when I came home and told this to my husband (who is a carpenter), he replied that it is possible only one side of it is graded for outdoor use and these panels will be exposed to the elements on both sides (on a chain link fence). I googled this on the web and could not find an answer. Can you help me?

MDO is the industry standard. A paper faced plywood specifically made to be painted for exterior use.
