Didn't slatesman have a job that had one of those installed ? He posted pics , timber frame house with a masonry heater.
Might shout out to him and get the name of the installers.

Here's a couple different heaters that my NC friend has done. Proves you can get damn near any look you want using the contraflow technique. They are posted at the Masonry Heater Assoc. website. Another great source for examples.
