Ex Machina (movie) type house construction ?

I saw the movie Ex Machina recently and really like that type of design even though the ‘house’ is actually various ‘rooms’ of the Juvet Hotel in Norway. I would love to build a house using this type of design but have a couple of questions.
- What type of siding is on the house, I mean is there something under those thing vertical pieces of wood? How would that siding hold up in a rainy area like Oregon, USA or should I think of a different type of siding like concrete?
- Would spiders just spin webs and fill up those spaces between the wood siding?
- Can a flat roof actually work like in this design, e.g. in Oregon where very little snow falls but where there is lots of rain?
- The windows— where can one get such windows? I have never see those windows at local Home Depot or Lowe’s stores
- Can a house like this actually be put up on pedastals or whatever that is called that lifts the house up off the ground? I don’t want a basement, just a place for mold and spiders, so a house without a foundation like this would be good for me.

design for your site...
I subscribe to the design theory of form follows function. In my clime [ upper mid- south] you could make something akin to this that works, heavily tweaked. Your area is different obviously but I'd guess it would be practical to have a properly designed version with vertical siding and a pier foundation.
A flat roof is probably not practical for you but a shallow pitch probably if well executed. A lot of glass might be fine with proper orientation.
But the lack of roof overhang would be a nightmare design feature about any where on the planet I can imagine. Well, unless it was in a climate that has no sun or rain.
A commercial window guy can do the window$. The trick is that the roof must be appropriately supported with beams set in the ceiling, back from the window (or perhaps with "strongback" beams set on top of the roof, far enough back to be not visible from the ground).
No telling what the wood is -- the Norwegians are experts at using and preserving wood.
You know
That close to shipping, grab a couple containers, cut off one side and weld some brackets to catch the decorative siding. Detail the glass properly and call it home.
