Whose job is it to install duct work to exhaust fans, i.e. bathroom fan? In my area, electricians claims the HVAC guy should do it, while the HVAC guy claims it’s the electricians job. Personally, I consider exhaust fans to be part of air movement within a house; therefore, the HVAC guy should take care of the duct line while the electrician does the wiring.

duct work "to"..............?
There's duct from............and where does it go?
to roof? Best include them in the mix.
On remodels, the wiring should be hooked up by a licensed electrician-usually.
Who runs the exhaust piping? Here-usually me.
There is duct "from" exhaust
There is duct "from" exhaust fan "to" outside. I can get you an installation manual if it would help in the mix.

Sorry, that was something I threw in there in jest.
In new construction or more generally-there might be a trade etiquette in who runs the exhaust piping. However, in most of my work it's whomever I asign the task..............the electrician if I can talk him into it. Most of the time-the electrician mounts and wires the fan, I run the pipe and install the cap.
In a strong union prescence, things run a bit differently.
The key point in any installation-whomever installs accepts the responsibility.
exhaust fan install
My way. Electrician installs and wires the fan unit and the hvac guy does the duct work and furnishes the roof jack.
In my experience the electrician installs the fan and nobody installs the ductwork.
HA GOOD ONE
I've seen a lot that would support this - and back in early days (ignorant sorry) did some of it
