I need to extend power to the outside of my home. I know that GFI receptacles are required or a GFI ciruit breaker. What I’m not sure of is what ciruit to use to get power to the outside. Does outside electric need a dedicated circuit or can it be extended from an existing receptacle in the basement?

Around here they have to be supplied with a separate circuit. I think this is a good rule, as many devices used outdoors demand high current.
