Exterior Cedar Finish

Lookin’ for suggestions on what to use for a finish on exterior handrail made of cedar. Thanks.

    I would suggest Mautz spar varnish. Mix the first coat 50/50 with mineral spirits. Back brush those areas that soak it all up. Then two more coats of unthinned varnish. Scuff and recoat when needed. I'd also sand the raw ceder with 100 grit sand paper before finishing.
