The owner of the company I contract to has a built in BBQ that is surrounded in a u shape of bricks. The walls are about 3′ high. On top of this he wants to put a counter top about a 1′ deep and tile it. What type of substrate should I use. Wood will have to much movement and probable not last very long. Also comes the problem of an edge treatment.
