I plan on using 4-9/16 FG interior jams with backband as exterior trim. They happen to be just the right width to match up with existing window trim.
Anybody see any problems?
Thanks for Assistance

Eric,
It will just be a matter of time, and not very long at that, before the finger joints start falling apart. These jambs are an interior product for use in a controlled environment and cannot handle the rainwater and humidity fluctuations of the outdoors. Please rip your casings out of something more suitable. There is a variety of materials made for this application.

*Ever done anything else you've kicked yourself in the butt for? This comes under the heading of DEFINITELY don't. It's the finger joints. If you doubt us - leave a piece out under the sprinkler on a sunny day for a couple hours.
*For Red Dog and Piffin - Much thanks for your assistance/comments. I assume it is the glue used in the interior jam FJ's that would cause the problem because I've got FJ's in the jam on the prehung door I just installed for the garage and FJ's in the 1x and 5/4 primed boards purchased from the local yard. FJ stuff was more expensive to my surprise.
