We painted the exterior our house in the fall of 2003 and as spring arrives, I actually find myself in the mood to do some spring cleaning.
Now that the paint is 2-1/2 years old, it’s holding strong and looking good, but there is some dirt here and there.
Question: What sort of maintenance should I complete to best preserve our paint job?
I was assuming cleaning the siding and trim with a long-handled soft-bristled brush and some warm, soapy water with a low pressure hose rinse. I’m assuming that a power-washer is going to be too harsh. Correct?
The paint looks great, we did an awesome prep job and we want to whatever it takes to keep away heartbreak down the road.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Source control, ventilation, and filtration are the keys to healthy indoor air quality. Dehumidification is important too.
