Exterior Trim, Koma, Fypon &Cedar Siding
This is the house I framed this past summer and I just got done finishing up the exterior trim and cedar siding. We used Koma for the first time and some Fypon Dental and Crown Molding and some plastic solid crown molding. Is was a lot of work.

Very nice, What kinda of finish is on the cedar(?, can't be to surenow a days, it might be hardi) siding?
Thanks Butch. It's just a clear finish.Joe Carola
Nice work and nice pictures Joe. That does indeed look like a lot of work, especially for a framer. The joinery looks great.
Is Koma a plastic product too?

Thanks, Blue. This is the house that I framed where I posted the pictures of the fork lift. It was a lot of work but I've done a lot of exterior trim and siding like this over the years and I've also done a lot of interior trim. When things get slow you have to do a little bit of everything. The Koma is PVC like the AZEK.http://www.komatrimboards.com/Joe Carola
great work , i love marvin products. how far does the water table prject past the corner plaster??.." we judge ourselves by our motives, and others by their actions........."
Thanks for the compliment. The water table sticks past the molding 5/8".Joe Carola
nice looking work. I really like the soffit details.
What material is used for the soffits?
you spend a lot of time in Colts Neck? Nice place to work.
Is that someone's guest or pool house? seems a bit small compared to the rest of the McMansions there.
The soffit is plastic 5/8" beadboard. I got it from Joe Glennon. It's not Azek or Koma, it's another brand that I can't think of the name right now. It's not a guest house. It's a 4000 s/f little shack.....;-)Joe told me to ask you if you have made any bowls lately......;-)Joe Carola
Joe-
I think I've seen a sample on the counter at Huston's/Watchung. I'll have to look when I'm there tomorrow.
No bowls recently, but I just finished turning 9 balusters and 2 newels for someone rebuilding some stairs. Just gotta deliver them, and I'm done with that job.
