Recently given very limited information about a spray applied liquid vinyl material that is applied over wood, cement or other composition exterior siding materials that results in water tite seal and eliminates the need for painting. Said to last indefinitely. Does anyone know of this product and where I can obtain detailed info on the product. Sounds very interesting if true. It is said to go on like and look like a high quality paint finish but last a lifetime. Sounds to good to actually be true. Thanks

I would never claim to be on the cutting edge of every breakthrough in this industry but you asked in the right place. If it exists, someone here will know it.
Say this coating is real and as it claims. I would caution you to think about this. Wood is a good attractor and passer of moisture. Siding with an impregnable coating on the outside can actually push off that coating as moisture migrates to the outside. Sure it'll keep water at bay from the outside, but it may peel just like paint because of what's happening on the inside.
But hey, best of luck. It might exist and it may work.

Do a google on LIQUID SIDING. That should point you to some sites. The last time I did this it seemed that it was sold under different names by local dealers.
But Calvin's comments follow what I have heard about it. The siding will rot behind it.
