Wood doors like to move whatever you put on them. Make sure you pay careful attention to the top and bottom edges. I've had good luck with quality acrylics, California brand in particular, if you want paint. Epithane, a marine paint is very high quality. You can also use marine varnish or polyurethane. Marine products can be expensive but they are made for exposure.
