Just wondering what preferences people have for fascia materials both on high end homes and on rental properties. What are the advantages and disadvantages to each. I have worked with Azek and do not like it one little bit!

2x6 or 2x8 rough-sawn hemlock fir, back-primed.
High end - fiber cement board.
Rental property - wrap em with metal for little maintenance.
I have never seen a metal facia job on a home that I liked, the bad installations are eye sores and the good ones are OK. The eave trough hides lots of it. I prefer 1 x 6, 1 x 8 cedar stained both sides, long lengths.
I've been happy with Hardie Fascia.
Cool cornerboards.
