I am going to be installing T&G 5/4 x 4 garapa on my covered porch.
From the posts I have read I have two choices for fasteners, stainless screws or nails.
Which do you recommend and what length fastener have you use?
Did you fasten through tongue or groove side? (have seen posts for both)
I have also read about the additional use of adhesive, any advantage?
Any additional information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

I can't speak for garapa specifically, but all T&G I've installe is nailed through the tounge. I've never heard of nailing through the groove.

10 degrees and I'm not gonna go thru all hoorah to light up the heat...
and the new dog is a little on the nutzoid side.... or would that be hyper active... one more bark and I'm gonna go look for a roll of duct tape...
other than that..
just fine...

Haven't decided how I going to fasten yet, waiting to see the consensus of the group.
Either way what would be a good length for the fastener for 5/4?
I agree with the "through the tongue" , someone posted somewhere about "through the groove" so I thought I'd ask.
at least 2,5 " min length
