I want to mount a bracket to hold a TV set on a wall that is drywall over steel studs.What kind of fasteners do I use to hold the bracket on the wall?

what gauge studs?
I'm not certain on what, or if a, fastner is available to hold the load of a tv in light gauge steel studs.
If it were me, I'd want to cut the DW out and install some solid wood blocking, patch the dw and mount to that.
Depends on the total weight of the bracket and TV. There are toggle bolts than can hold quite a bit, but you'll most likely need to open the wall and put some wood blocking in between the studs.

extra blocking between the studs for sure, 3/5 ply what ever, spread the load around a lot
steel studs dont do much except hold the drywall up
caulking is not a piece of trim
