Got a fault message in the security system in our current house. Says one of the first floor windows is open. I checked all of them and they were closed.
How can I troubleshoot this? I assume I can jumper each sensor (how?) until I find the one causing the problem. I’m not finding a lot of help in my searches.
The keypad is a Napco Gemini rp1cae2.

The times that's happened to me, the tech found that replacing the window or door sensor made the fault go away.
But having a good security tech at your beckon is good.
Problem is I have to figure out which sensor is bad first. Will call a tech if I have to but wanted to first look myself.

Set your keypad to beep when any door/window sensor is triggered, then go around one by one opening and closing. The one that doesn't beep is the one that it already thinks is open.

If you know where the sensors are you can operate them with a magnet. Just work your way around each one and have someone keep an eye on the alarm pad. Take your time as most are not instant, 5-10 seconds is long enough.
I've had the same problem a couple times, if they are typical hardwired sensors, you pry off a little trim cover and then jump it out. If you have trouble finding a new sensor shoot me an email and I'll mail you one (they often have to be bought in quantity).

Thanks, I'll see if I can find it using the other suggestions. I can see where some of the sensors are but in the same place on others I only see a screw.
It's Obamas fault

No its Bushes fault, its always his fault, just ask the libs No one should regard themselve as "God's gift to man." But rather a mere man whos gifts are from God.
then it's Bushs fault that it's Obamas fault .....

It will never be Obamas fault because Bush handed it all to him, like now that gas prices are going back up, Bushs fault!
Have a great one No one should regard themselve as "God's gift to man." But rather a mere man whos gifts are from God.
Might not be the sensor, Got an ADT system and one day the alarm sounded and the keypads all said there was a fire, the problem was that I never had that option installed! Had to disconect the battery to shut it off, one of these days I'll get it fixed.
