Not for sure if this is in the right department, but I have an electrical problem. We have a corner china cabinet
with a light on the inside . It is the type that when you touch the door hinge
the light comes on. It has three settings: low, medium, bright and off. This is the switch. The problem is the
light comes on by itself now. Pops on the low or dim setting. Does anyone know about these types of
switches and why it does this? It just started doing it about a month ago for no reason. Have had this cabinet
for about 10 yrs. Bought it new. Just sits there . No one ever touches it. Doesn’t really hurt anything but gets
annoying. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Terry

No stink'n idea-but the information hiway does have some.
I Bing'd touch switch, troubleshooting and came up with this:

Best of luck.
edit: And do come back with the outcome of your problem-it would make for interesting reading for those of us waiting to get the call from the homowners we put in a kitchen for and who now have the "touch faucet" coming on in the middle of the night and they don't own a cat.
Check Amazon
The new replacement swtich circuit is about $10.
Probably easier than trouble shooting the old one.
