Hi All,
I like reading about our trade as much as doing it.
Here’s a list of related books I really benefit from having or just enjoy thumbing through from time to time:
A Pattern language-Alexander et. al.
Renovation-Litchfield
Graphic Guide to Frame Constuction-Thallon
Home-Rybczynski
Most Beautiful House in the World-Rybczynski
Just about antTaunton Press Publication
Those come immeadiatly to mind
I also have an 1985 copy of Carpentry by Koel that I pour over at times. Any updates on a good trade reference that deals with more recent materials and techniques?
What else…?

Tricks of The Trade - Taunton. A great collection of some brilliant ideas from the mag.
I think they did a volume 2 as well.

I never thought about building with books. Do you just lay them up in mortar, or what?
Maybe this is just the thing for Luka's siding!
Any jackass can kick down a barn, but it takes a carpenter to build one.

A book called Toil, spacing on the author's name, published by Chelsea Green. Great read...
