Normally I’m a finisher, but I got roped into doing a fence for family. All the materials are already on site and I’ve started to build the panels, which are ten wide by almost three tall, with rough cedar two by four frames and a lattice inside. The posts are four foot tall six by six rough cedar and have metal brackets on the ends. I’ve never used such brakets before and have some questions. Is there anything wrong with brackets? I hope not, because this seems to be the way we’re going. How deep and wide should the hole be? What is the ratio of bags of Post Haste to holes? Is there anything else I’m missing?

A big, dumb guy who works cheap, to dig the holes.
