I’m building 40′ of fence to replicate this rail exactly.
View Image View Image
The rails will be around the front yard replacing an old picket fence and will have 2 gates. I wanted to build this out of Mahogany but am seeking suggestions and alternatives. Obviously I don’t want set Mahogany posts into the ground / cement. They wont last long. P/T is not an option. The fence will be painted green to match the rails and trim. Any good ideas, especially for the posts? Thanks.

Considering your location, wouldn't Red Cedar be one of the best choices?
Yeah but I dont have WRC Balusters readily available. I can buy 2x2 Mahogany balusters easily. One less thing to mill up.
Why is pt not an option? Aren't you going to paint it to match?
